We have spent a week on the new extensions to allow PDF to SVG conversion and pretty impressed with SVG as a format. It is compact, scalable and the text is crisp and selectable.
A first release will be available in the near future for people using the PDF 2 HTML5 converter and we will be using this to add SVG as an alternative to canvas in our PDF 2 HMTL5 converter. It offers a number of advantages over canvas (including text selection and scaling).
For the last two years we have focussed on making it easy for us to use our PDF library to convert PDF into multiple formats. The focus has been to try and make as much of the process as generic as possible and we are also improving how we do this.
Today we have a new release of our PDF 2 HTML5 converter and we have incremental improvements for PDF 2 JavaFx and PDF 2 FXML is almost ready for a first release. So the question is what else would you like to see next?
Do you need to write or read JPEG in Java?
We have an easy guide on how to write JPEG in Java using ImageIO and JDeli.
You can learn how to read/write most of the image files in ImageIO. However, it gives little control over the process.
JDeli is easy to use and offers complete support, so why don't you give a try?
