5 things for IDRsolutions to achieve in 2015

1 min read

Yesterday, I wrote my personal list of our top 5 achievements. In this follow-up I want to list 5 targets for 2015.

1. Spread the word on our PDF to HTML5 converter.

We saw significant uptake of our commercial PDF to HTML5/SVG converter (which is targeted at companies wanting to convert lots of PDF files with support) and our free online converter (for anyone who just wants to convert some PDF files to HTML5). In 2015, we want to expand on both and get the message out…

2. New Features for the PDF to HTML5 converter.

We have just done a survey to ask for suggestions on the PDF to HTML5 converter. We now have a long list and you will see lots of enhancements in 2015.

3. Make more use of JavaFX.

JavaFX is an excellent addition to Java on the desktop and in RCP. We have a whole list of features to add into our JavaFX viewer and also some ways we can use it to enhance our Swing viewer.

4. Community involvement.

IDRsolutions has been helping our friends at EPIK with MineCraft hacking events, has its own open source JavaFX PDF viewer,  NetBeans plugin and you will find me and other members of IDRsolutions very active trying to answer Java, NetBeans, HTML5 and PDF related questions on Quora, Reddit Java forum and some other places. In 2014, I was very proud to be made a member of the exclusive NetBeans dream team in recognition of my efforts 🙂

5. Conferences.

We hope to be at JavaOne 2015 (big 25th Anniversary bash) and DevFest Istanbul again (please invite us!). Should we be at any other events?

That is my list. So what would you like to see from us and what are you planning in 2015?

Happy New Year
Happy New Year to Everyone from IDRSolutions and the Java PDF Blog.

IDRsolutions develop a Java PDF Viewer and SDK, an Adobe forms to HTML5 forms converter, a PDF to HTML5 converter and a Java ImageIO replacement. On the blog our team post anything interesting they learn about.
