This year I will be returning to Business of Software USA for a second time, to hear great speakers, meet interesting people and share ideas. The full schedule is already up, and there are lots of talks on it that I can’t wait to see. Here are 3 that I am particularly looking forward to:
Several of my colleagues have seen Peldi speak at Business of Software in the past, and have recommended him as an interesting and engaging speaker. He will be speaking about his experiences of scaling Balsamiq, starting from a project with just one person. I’m looking forward to hearing about how the company has grown and changed, and the challenges faced along the way.
Bethany Pagels-Minor will be speaking about the different approaches to agile development, and how to choose the right one for a particular team. It will be interesting to learn how to take different factors into account to choose the best approach for the situation.
We saw Bruce McCarthy speak at Business of Software London earlier this year, when he gave us some great insights into the differences between product culture and execution culture. This time he will be speaking about how to prioritize your ideas, and will reveal his own tried and tested method for focusing on the most important initiatives.
The talks are only one part of the conference. The ‘hallway track’ (where you get to speak to everyone, including the speakers themselves) and applying ideas in interactive workshops are also among the highlights of the conference.
Will you be at Business of Software USA this year? Let us know which talks you are looking forward to in the comments.
