It is no secret that Istanbul is my favourite city (obviously as a Mediaeval Historian I still call it Byzantium) and DevFest Istanbul is my favourite conference. So I am really excited that the DevFest team have invited me and my colleague Bethan Palmer to do a talk again this year (on Sunday 4th November).
We will do a very hands on talks showing how you can use the Apache NetBeans IDE to write code. We will also be bringing you up to speed on the new releases and how becoming part of Apache has changed NetBeans. We will also be running a stand all day to talk and demonstrate NetBeans.
Even if you are not interested in NetBeans, this is still an amazing conference to attend. They run FIVE separate tracks. The talks are all packed with young, enthusiastic audiences and it has an energy I do not see at other events. And it boasts an international cast of top-rate speakers. (They also have the best speakers dinner of any conference but we keep that a closely guarded secret).
If you can get to Istanbul, tickets are available from the website. If you cannot go, there are some brilliant talks on youtube from previous years, including last year’s NetBeans talk from Georgia Ingham and myself. And you can get an idea of the events from our report from DevFest 2017.
We hope to see you at our talk or our stand. And you may see me in town a few days early checking out the local sites…..
